On Plus and Legacy, we actively watch for a missed check-in, confirm with your verifiers if you go quiet, and automatically deliver your outstanding checklist items and pointer notes to next of kin if it's ever needed — no extra step for anyone. On Free, none of that monitoring runs: nobody is watching, and nothing is ever sent automatically. If something happens to you, a next of kin or executor would need to contact us directly with a death certificate to request your checklist and pointer notes. It's one of the reasons to upgrade before you need it, not after.
What makes this different
MyLegacyLivesOn is narrower than a full document-drafting service and more active than a static vault: an always-current checklist plus a real check-in-based safety net that decides when to release, not just a fixed date — priced accordingly, since we don't replace a lawyer.
Why the Legacy tier costs more
A yearly subscription is fine while you're here to renew it — but nobody keeps paying a card that belongs to someone who has died. Free and Plus keep your legacy page live for a set number of years after passing so it's never lost the moment a renewal is missed; Legacy is priced to fund hosting it permanently from a single payment made while you're still around to make it.
